Dr. Dee (ดี) Yookong Williams is an artivist, licensed clinical social worker, scholar, and community-engaged researcher with a Social Work PhD from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. 

With over a decade of experience in community organizing and clinical practice, Dee specializes in intersectional suicide prevention and postvention (i.e., life promotion) for youth and young adults, with a focus on mental health, resilience, and trauma-informed care.

​As a professionally trained visual artist with an art minor from Towson University, Dee’s work spans painting, drawing, sculpture, and film photography. Their art has been showcased in exhibits and fundraisers, and  featured on the cover of the best-selling book Beleza Estranha (2016). They have sold artwork over the course of many years to support social and racial justice, mental health, and community development initiatives. Dee has also served as a contractual arts instructor and worked with community partners to plan and paint large collaborative works with youth in Baltimore, Maryland.
